Connecticut Schools Cancelling Student Travel Due to the Coronavirus

Today, an announcement was sent to Connecticut State Colleges and Universities stating that they are expected to suspend or cancel travel to countries that have or are on watch for the Coronavirus.

This decision is due to concern of student, faculty and staff safety.

CSCU President Mark Ojakian is urging college and university leaders to have plans made in case dorms and schools need to close temporarily due to illness.

School administrators have been encouraged to keep checking the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website in order to make appropriate decisions regarding travel for students.
