Thursday's Broadcast - Girls Softball - Shelton at West Haven - and boy was it a dandy -the beautiful thing about Softball and Baseball - the game can change every pitch, every inning.
Shelton jumped out to a 4-0 lead and seemed in complete control of the game.
But West Haven scored 3 runs in the 6th and had the tying run cut down at the plate.
Shelton added an insurance run in the 7th and beat the Blue Devils 5-3. Shelton is 9-5, West Haven is 12-3.
For Shelton - Alexis Resto had a double and scored 2 runs, Jeanise Serrano had a double and rbi, Sarah Broad had a double and rbi, and Victoria Silva had a double and rbi, Anna Leone had a triple and rbi, and Julia Krijgsman had 2 hits and scored a run
For West Haven - Juliana Petruzziello and Hannah Burrows each had 2 hits and an rbi
A thoroughly entertaining game - especially the last 2 innings when all the action took place
