CT Run For The Fallen

Here is Renee's interview with Barbara Michalek, Director of Run For The Fallen CT. She is also a veteran and currently is serving in the Air Force Reserve.

She shares all of the info about Run For The Fallen Connecticut, which will be a virtual event taking place on Saturday, September 19.

Listen here:

The 11th Annual Run for the Fallen CT will be held virtually this year due to the current climate of public health concerns. The event will kick off at 7am with opening remarks from our team on Facebook Live. The names of 10 fallen heroes will be read at the top of every hour (7am-1pm) for each “virtual lap” of the run. Pictures and biographies of each service member will be posted during their assigned time slot.

We encourage participants to run, walk, cycle etc. to honor our fallen heroes and share comments and photos throughout the day. We will be posting links in our website for participants to print out bibs and other items for virtual participation. A closing ceremony will be made available at 2pm after the conclusion of the final lap (Facebook and YouTube link).

While we are very saddened at the thought of not having a live event this year and will greatly miss seeing our RFTFCT families and participants, we hope to at least provide a platform this year to bring everyone together for a day of remembrance and recognition of our fallen heroes and their families.
