A family trip to Madison - the Senior Legion Regional Qualifier Tournament - NCL was there taking on Madison - NCL - North Central Legion(Windsor, Windsor Locks, Bloomfield & Suffield) , the #7 seed, Madison #2 seed.
This game was good right from the beginning. NCL scored 1 run in the 2nd on an rbi double from Julian Rivera. They added 2 more runs in the 3rd on rbis from Isaac Rosario and Claudio Santaniello.
Madison scored their lone in the 6th on an rbi single from Matt Carone. Madison threatened in the 7th but hit into a game ending double play giving NCL a 3-1 win.
Claudio Santaniello was the winning pitcher, pitching 5 2/3 innings of 3 hit shutout ball. Nick Gomes came in and got the Save.
Eli Davies had 2 hits for Madison.
Wallingford lost to RCP 1-0. RCP scored their run in the bottom of the 7th.
Wallingford will play at Madison Tuesday night at 5:45pm in an elimination game.
NCL will at RCP Tuesday at Cromwell High School at 5:45pm.
So it's back to the Town Campus Field - an all Zone 2 matchup
